The intervention of the co-owners of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso, Oyo state to end the well over seven months strike embarked upon by lecturers of the institution  has reunited students not only in the lecture rooms but also socially.


The students who following their resumption were immediately immersed in exams had to douse tensions by organizing an after-exams party tagged #OFFICIAL LAUTECH


The student resumed after the well over seven month strike with high hope of having a hitch free and exciting academic calendar.

 This was indeed achieved as social directors from the various faculties initiated the first of its kind “Official Lautech After Exam Party 2017”.

                 

The Student Union Government (SUG) elect social director, Kunle Ajayi (aka Doubus) was the brain behind the event.

In an interview with Gracagist reporters, Ajayi said the motive behind the event was to redefine edutainment, more so to revive the social life of the citadel of learning so that brands can come in to discover talent and also encourage social life.

He further gave kudos to stakeholders of the institution that are contributing immensely to the social terrain of the institution.

The event took place on Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at Atimaggies Hotel in Ogbomoso, the highly attended event surpassed the expectation of it attendees as the anticipated “Iya Eleko” artist signed under Davido’s DMW record label performed all his singles and collaboration songs to thrill his audience.

The event was anchored by Gifted mouth and Sage, a Faculty of Management Science Student (Famassite) and Faculty of Basic Medical Science Student (Fabamssite) respectively.



The event  featured live performances from Lautech undergraduate A list artistes: Haywise, Softdiva, Doubus, Damilesky, Rapray, Zeez, Adehas and many more.

 It was a reunion of old and current students as the event featured Lautech alumni artistes who are up and coming in the Nigeria music industry such as Opynco, Abardox, Ayceleb, Christalker, and Password.

 The show was totally shutdown by the “Headies rookie winner for the year 2016“, Mayorkun.

 Mayorkun overwhelmed by the students' show of love and turn out, promised to be back with his friends during his school tour.

The success of the event was linked to the prowess and support given to the SUG elect social director by the various faculty social directors namely; Famassite (Thunerdex), Fessa(Vicky), Nass(Mentor A), Passa(young larmah), Nuesa(Remmybellz) and Fabamssa (Tmf).

The show which started at exactly 11pm was brought to an end on a very bright mode at exactly 5am.

The lit event was supported by Gracagist , Solid image, Emperor Alhaji, Acada magazine, packaged by all faculty Social directors and sponsored by Mr. Kunle Ajayi, Sug Elect Social-Director (23 Studio).
