| FEC Meeting |
The Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed has said that the weekly Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting will not hold tomorrow, 10th of September 2017.
Alhaji Mohammed officially announced this new development via a statement issued in Kano on Tuesday.
The minister citing Eid-el-KABIR holiday as reasons for the cancellation of tomorrow's FEC meeting said it deprived the ministers adequate time to prepare the documents for the meeting.
Last week when the meeting held, the Mambilla hydro project that will be handled by a consortium of Chinese companies at a cost of $5.79billion was approved by the Federal Government.
However this is the second time in three weeks that the FEC meeting will not be holding.
About a fortnight ago the meeting was cancelled to enable President Buhari receive the probe report on the allegations against the suspended Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Babachir Lawal, and the Director-General of the National Intelligence Agency, Ambassador Ayo Oke.
