El Clasico: Real Madrid lose at home to Barcelona

Barcelona came from behind to defeat Real Madrid in tonight's El Clasico.

Messi rise to the occasion. His opening and late goal sent Barcelona to the top of the Laliga table at the expense of Real Madrid

Casemiro gave Real Madrid the lead in 28' minutes while Messi equalized in 33' minutes to draw level. Rakitic later put Barcelona ahead in 73' minutes which was followed by Sergio Ramos dismissal at 77' minutes.

James Rodriguez then puts Real level in 85' minutes. He hasn't had the greatest time at Real Madrid but that was a goal of enormous importance to him and the team. Marcelo crosses and Rodriguez which was unmarked in the box turned it home from close range.

A long Real Madrid ball goes straight out of play for a throw-in. Only seconds left.

Marco Asensio has a shot for Barca but it's saved by Marc-Andre ter Stegen at his near post. It doesn't actually go out of play and Asensio's cross is fired wide by Cristiano Ronaldo.

Real Madrid may only have one fit senior centre-back - Nacho - for their next few games, depending on how long Sergio Ramos' ban is, with Raphael Varane and Pepe injured.

James Rodriguez almost wins it for 10-man Real now but his save from a bit of a wide angle is straight at Marc-Andre ter Stegen

Barca then break at pace, Sergi Roberto runs from deep into his own half and plays the ball out left, Jordi Alba crosses to Lionel Messi, who sweeps the ball home from 16 yards out.

Lionel Messi has now scored his 500th goal for Barcelona. It's the goal which sends Barcelona top of La Liga with a last-minute winner in El Clasico.
