OMG! The Smart Phone will Die: Mark Zuckerberg lays the groundwork for the Death of the smart Phone

The C.E.O of Facebook Mark Zuckerberg at his company’s annual developer’s conference on Tuesday unveiled plans for the future of facebook - Augmented Reality, which is bound to drive smartphones of the market.

Augmented reality is the new "mix the physical and digital in whole new ways". AR is the revolutionary trend for the future that company’s such as Microsoft, Apple, Snap and other Tech giants have been working on.

Zuckerberg with an investment already of $2billion in 12014 for the acquisition of Oculus a virtual reality app that enables you experience anything anywhere, described AR as the next major computing platform, a sentiment shared by tech giant Apple’s C.E.O Tim Cook.

Zuckerberg said Facebook will be giving developers the ability to build their own AR effects for the Facebook app's camera. The effects will be relatively basic initially and function similarly to Snapchat's lenses, which can place puppy dog ears or a flower crown on your face.

But eventually, Facebook plans to use AR through its app's camera to show things like menu information at a restaurant, virtual steam rising from a real coffee cup, and virtual, 3D art that cascades from a blank wall.

Zuckerberg said that end-goal for AR is lightweight glasses that display virtual objects in the real world, like the technology being worked on by Magic Leap and Apple.

His move to open up its AR capabilities to other apps and services is a direct comeback at SnapChat’s receiving credit for pioneering AR camera effects which have been trending.

Zuckerbeg was quoted saying “Even if we were a little slow to add cameras to our apps, I’m confident that we’re going to be the ones to push this augmented reality platform forward," as a direct attack to Snap Chat.

Snap Chat Might not be the only one taking the heat from Facebook as Facebook has declaring war with all the tech giants in the tech industry with a threat to wipe off the market for smart phones, television and tablets anything that uses a screen claiming a large church of the world economy and replacing with AR technology.

So far it is a neck to neck in competition with Google and Apple in a bid to create yet another world of apps and tools that carves a niche market apart from the Smartphone.

Could Zuckerberg be bleeding from the NewYork Times comment of him being disappointed from not creating a smart phone operating system of his own that’s why He is taking revenge that eventually see’s the death of the Smart phone?

Is the AR the biggest we could imagine for the future? Yes, well maybe, Microsoft who had been working on the hololens holographic google further re-emphasized the natural transition of the Tech world to AR and its allied technology leaving the Smartphort on a natural path to becoming obsolete.

During a demo of the Facebook’s eventual vision for augmented reality, in the form of a pair of easy-to-wear, standard-looking glasses, Zuckerberg showed how you could have a virtual "screen" sitting in your living room, bigger than your biggest TV.

Is the time now to flush your smart phones down the drain? Not quite, you see, though the world is being geared up to view through a seemingly simple eyeglass.

The time rather for that technology is not ripe, so seat tight grab your smart phones and use your money’s worth, at least for the next ten years or sooner.

Even tech geniuses like Mike Zuckerberg are going one step at a time taking the future now.
