The Nigerian federal government has declared Monday, May 1, as public holiday to enable workers celebrate the 2017 Workers’ Day and also hold rallies.
The declaration was made known by the Minister of Interior, Gen. Abdulrahman Dambazzau (rtd), on Friday.
He congratulated Nigerian workers for their resilience, hard work and commitment to the present administration despite current challenges and also canvassed for more support for President Muhammadu Buhari.
The Director, Office of the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Interior, Alhaji Muhammadu Maccido, made the announcement in a statement on Friday.
