About 25 people have reportedly been seriously injured in a religious clash which ensued between some Muslim faithful and Egungun worshippers (Masquerades) in Kishi Town of Oke-Ogun area of Oyo State.The clash occurred on Monday when the traditional ruler of the town, Oba Engr. Moshood Awada Lawal Arowoduye II, the Iba of Kishi was celebrating his week-long 20th coronation anniversary.
The State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Mr. Adekunle Ajisebutu has confirmed the incident saying: “the command has provided adequate security to restore peace in the town”.
