Avoid quacks in registration for UTME, JAMB warns Nigerians as registration closes tomorrow

The Head JAMB Information and Media, Dr Fabian Benjamin, of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) on Thursday advised Nigerians to avoid quacks in registration for Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME) before the May 5, deadline.
Benjamin noted that the registration for 2017 UTME would close at 12 midnight on May 5, adding that the Board had put measures in place to conduct a hitch-free examination which will hold in two weeks time.

“We are good to go, we had set one month for the registration before now, we were sure that we are going to register all the candidates within one month.

“We have been a responsive organisation; We yielded to the demand of the public that we should extend and we extended.

“The extension was actually not necessary because most of the mock examination centres were virtually empty.

“Tomorrow is the closing date; we will close tomorrow and prepare adequately for the conduct of the examination.

“Nigerians should always adhere to what agencies of government tell them, if you are clamoring for service you should go to that agency and stop patronizing quacks,” he said.

However, various registration centre have been filled with anxious candidates due to network challenges.
