Music stars Beyoncé and Jay Z's twins — a boy and a girl — arrived last week but doctors have not allowed the newborn babies leave the hospital due to a "minor issue" because they were born premature, and sources revealed that the babies have remained in the hospital for nearly a week and they are currently "under the lights."
Not much is known about the health issue that is causing doctors to keep the babies under hospital care, but the "lights" could refer to phototherapy — which is usually used to lower high bilirubin levels that cause jaundice in infants, according to WebMD. Sources revealed that Beyoncé, 35, is doing well and she also remained in the hospital with her babies.
The twins — whose names have yet to be announced — are expected to be okay, but it is unclear when mommy and babies will be able to go home.
We pray everything's okay!
