The matter was reported at Kachako Police Division, Kano on June 12 by Auwalu Isma’il of Durbunde village, the prosecutor, Sgt. Yakubu Galadima told the court
He said that around 2 p.m., on that same day that the case was reported, Garba decoyed the 12-year-old girl into his father’s farm and forcefully had carnal knowledge of her under a tree at Durbunde village.
Galadima also said that Garba threatened to kill the girl if she tells anyone which contravened Section 283 of the penal code.
The girl was rushed to Murtala Muhammad Specialist Hospital Kano for treatment, Galadima said, but Garba pleaded not guilty to all charge.
Zubair Inuwa, the Magistrate, ordered that Garba be remanded in prison custody and adjourned the case till July 31 for mention.
