The 61-year-old Cleric, Taofeek Adams popularly called KieKie, who resides at Masinowa compound, Ikoga in Badgary was charged with conspiracy and murder.
Inspector Chinalu Uwadione, the prosecutor told the the court that the accused cut off the head of one Oluwakemi afolabi, a 38year old lady was who up on till her brutal murder worshipped at the mosque he presided over.
He said that the late Afolabi had come to seek spiritual help from the cleric which led to her being murder that fateful day on March 19, at about 4pm at waterside, Ikoga-Zebbe in Badagry.
Uwadione said “The accused beheaded the deceased before chopping off her other parts for ritual purposes.
“He was apprehended when members of the community saw him carrying a sack soaked with blood”.
he argued that the offences contravened sections 222 and 233 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
The court could not take his plea, as Magistrate A.S. Okubule said that she needed advice from the state director of public prosecutions.
Okubule therefore ordered the remand of the accused at the Ikoyi Prisons custody pending the advice.
The court adjourned the case until July 14 for mention.
