In the midst of the London terror attacks, a picture has emerged showing a man walking slowly down the road, seemingly trying not to spill his beer, while a woman strolled beside him also with a glass in hand.
The photo was shared thousands of times online, with people using black humour to show defiance in the face of the terror threat.

The attack, the third in less than 3 months, saw 7 people killed and 48 injured on London Bridge and Borough Market Saturday night, in the heart of the capital, after three men mowed down pedestrians and then ran at people with 12-inch knives, slashing the faces and stomachs of by-standers.

One photo is summing up this ‘life goes on’ motto more than any other: a man fleeing the terror attack with his pint of beer still in his hand.

Howard Mannella shared the photo on Twitter, saying: “People fleeing # London Bridge but the bloke on the right isn’t spilling a drop. God Bless the Brits!”

Armed police stormed bars and restaurants last night and told people to “get down” before screaming at them to clear the area and evacuate.

This man, it seems, wasn’t willing to let the terrorists ruin his night.

And British people are so proud of him for showing that good old Blitz spirit.

Some have said it’s indicative of our dark humour and using laughter to get through tough times.

And others turned to humour themselves to relieve the pain of last night’s events, making the joke that he wouldn’t want to spill a drop because London drink prices are so high.

Another said: “Price of a drink in London… you better believe he ain’t spilling that sh**”.

Some hit back at the tweet, claiming it wasn’t funny to be making jokes when people had died.

Others defended it, saying: “Our British humour helps us cope with tragedy – a contributing reason why I love my country.”

Seven were killed and 48 injured last night when three men drove a van down London Bridge, ploughing into pedestrians.

They exited the van and ran towards Borough Market brandishing 12-inch knives, stabbing and slashing people in the faces and stomachs as they went.
