Seven people were killed and nearly 50 injured when three terrorists ploughed into pedestrians on London Bridge and stabbed people at random as they roamed through Borough Market.
Some of those killed and some of those who survived with horrific injuries have been named following Saturday night's atrocity.
One of the seven deceased victims was a Canadian tourist who died in her fiance's arms moments after she was mowed down by the terrorists' van.
Another was a French national who was knifed as a terrorist stormed the crowded restaurant where he worked.
Here we remember the innocent victims.
Christine Archibald
The 30-year-old Canadian woman, known to friends as Chrissy, was on a nightt-ime stroll with her fiance, Tyler Ferguson, as they took in the sights on her first visit to London.
Mr Ferguson was walking just ahead of her when she was hit by the van, and cradled her as she died in his arms, his family said.
Miss Archibald and Mr Ferguson, also from Canada, lived in The Hague, Netherlands, where he worked as an accountant, and got engaged just months ago.
His family said they were "madly in love" and planned to move back to Canada.
She worked at a homeless shelter in Calgary before joining Mr Ferguson in the Netherlands.
Alexandre, a French national
A 27-year-old French national named Alexandre was killed at the Boro Bistro restaurant where he worked, Le Telegramme reported.
He was from Saint-Malo, in north-west France, and had lived in London for two-and-a-half years.
His colleague Vincent Le Berre told the newspaper said the restaurant was packed when one of the terrorists started stabbing staff and customers.
He said: "A customer was killed. I found myself facing the terrorist two metres away. I saw the hatred in his eyes.
"I managed to escape but my friend, Alexandre, did not have a chance. He was stabbed in the neck with a knife."
Alexandre's parents have met with French President Emmanuel Macron, BFM TV reported.
THE MISSING
Several people were unaccounted for as family and friends desperately tried to find loved ones who may have been caught up in the attack.
They turned to social media to appeal for help from the public and called police and hospitals looking for information.
Sebastien Belanger
Mr Belanger's girlfriend, Gerda Bennet, said the 36-year-old was near the bridge when the attack began and she hasn't been able to contact him.
She was on holiday in Malta and was flying back to London on Monday morning to search for the missing Frenchman, who lives in Leytonstone, east London.
Mr Belanger had been at the Barrowboy and Banker pub with friends, but became separated from them and was last seen running away after the terrorists jumped out of the van and started stabbing people.
Miss Bennet told Southwark News: "The guys he was with said there were about five to ten seconds when everyone was shouting and they just started running and that’s when they lost him.
"One of his friends said one of the guys with the knife was very close by when they started to run."
In an appeal on Facebook she wrote that she was unable to fly back from Malta until Tuesday because no flights were available, but later wrote that she had found a flight on Monday morning.
Ignacio Echeverria
Mr Echeverria, an HSBC worker and Spanish national who lived in Poplar, east London, was reported missing after he came to a woman's aid and was last seen lying on a pavement.
The 39-year-old, from Las Rozas de Madrid, confronted one of the terrorists as a woman was attacked and used his skateboard to fight back and defend her.
His family hasn't heard from him since then.
A relative revealed the family had been asked for his fingerprints as they try to find out whether he was one of the victims.
Spain's foreign ministry and embassy in London were assisting the family.
James McMullan
Mr McMullan, 32, was smoking a cigarette outside the Barrowboy and Banker around the time the terrorists crashed the van outside the pub.
His sister Melissa wrote in an appeal on Instagram that no one has heard from him, he hasn't returned home to his flat in Hackney, east London, and the friends he was with checked the area and hospitals with no luck.
She told Southwark News: "He went outside for a cigarette and the bouncers wouldn’t let him back in so his friends said they would finish their drinks but they were rushed back upstairs into the pub.
“This was literally two minutes before the incident.
“He’s not come home and isn’t answering his phone so I don’t think he is with anybody or he’s dropped his phone."
Xavier Thomas
Mr Thomas' girlfriend, Christine Delcros, was hospitalised following the attack, but he remains unaccounted for.
Miss Delcros' sister wrote an emotional plea on Facebook, where she said everyone is "terribly worried" about his well-being after the French couple were caught up in the incident.
Natalie Cros Brohan, from La Chappelle-Basse-Mer, France, wrote: "My sister Christine Delcros and her boyfriend Xavier Thomas were victims of the [attack].
"My sister is seriously injured and hospitalised.
"Xavier Thomas is missing. We are terribly worried."
Sara Zelenak
Miss Zelenak, from Brisbane, Australia, was separated from her friends after the van hit pedestrians on the bridge.
The 21-year-old nanny, who lives in London, hasn't been in contact with her family since then.
Friends have appealed for help on social media and her family has been in touch with consular officials.
A family friend wrote on Facebook: "She got separated from her friends and has not been seen since. Her phone has rang with no reply and now the battery must have gone.
"She calls her mum daily. It's been over 24 hours with no news from the consulate."
THE SURVIVORS
In addition to the seven who were killed, around 50 people were injured.
A number of people wounded in the attack have been named as they or their loved ones shared terrifying details of the rampage and details of their recovery.
Here are some of the survivors' stories.
Oliver Dowling and Marie Bondeville
Mr Dowling, 32, from Christchurch, New Zealand, and Miss Bondeville suffered knife wounds in the attack.
After a four-hour surgery at University of London Hospital, Mr Dowling was recovering from injuries to his face, neck and stomach.
In a Facebook post, his sister Freddy said he survived because the attackers missed his vital organs.
She wrote: "Doctors are very happy with how he's come out the other side. A massive thank to the University of London Hospital for their tireless efforts in helping my brother out!!"
Miss Bondeville also suffered injuries but Mr Dowling's family was unable to find out more about her condition because they weren't immediate family, his sister said.
Brett Freeman
Dad-of-three Mr Freeman, of Dagenham, east London, was pictured recovering in his hospital bed after he was stabbed several times.
Doctors worked to save his life and stop his lungs from filling with blood as he underwent emergency treatment.
His friend Darren Mole tweeted: "Just woke up to find a friend of mine stabbed 4 times in the #LondonBridge terror attack."
He added: "He's a soldier."
Candice Hedge
Miss Hedge, 31, of Brisbane, Australia, was stabbed in the throat as the attackers roamed the streets and knifed people at random.
She wrote on Facebook: "Hey everyone, just so you know I'm doing okay. Bit of pain but I will survive. Thanks for your thoughts and well wishes. Love to all."
Her father said she was working at a bar with her boyfriend Luke and was trying to hide when she was attacked.
Ross Hedge told 9 News: "She actually got behind a table and she said they were leaving, saw her last minute and came back and stabbed her in the throat.
"It's all good though, she's got no further damage. She's in pretty good spirits, she's a pretty tough girl."
Geoff Ho
Mr Ho, a business editor with the Sunday Express, was hailed hero after he took on the terrorists with his martial arts skills, said his friends.
The London journalist was stabbed in the neck and was left unable to speak as he recovered in hospital, they added.
Friend Gary Robinson wrote online: "He is stable but can't talk. He IS a true hero.
"He took on the terrorists when three rushed in stabbing people 30 mins later, using his martial arts, he fought them off."
He added: "He is in intensive care but 'doing well' according to the doctor. Unbelievable bravery. God speed your recovery. Geoff Ho, proud to call you my friend."
Roy Larner
The ardent Millwall FC fan was hailed a hero by friends who said he confronted the terrorists and fought back to save people around him.
Mr Larner, of south London, was knifed five times as he "stuck it to" the attackers and was said to be doing well after emergency surgery in hospital.
His pals have started an online fundraising campaign to support his recovery and a petition calling for him to be awarded the George Cross.
Friend Simon Willoughby wrote on Facebook: "When the terrorist attacked he went an stuck it to them and save a persons life, but in doing so got stabbed five times in the head, neck, back, front and cut all his fingers and at present is in intensive care!"
Daniel O'Neill
Mr O'Neill, 23, was knifed outside a bar as he enjoyed a night out with his girlfriend and a pal.
His mum, Elizabeth, described dramatic scenes after visiting him at King's College Hospital.
She told reporters: "He had just stepped outside the bar for a second and a man ran up to him and said, 'This is for my family, this is for Islam,' and stuck a knife straight in him."
She said her son may have suffered kidney damage and survived by sheltering inside the pub until armed officers killed the terrorists.
