18-year-old sentenced to 13 years imprisonment for pimping and trafficking teenagers

Jelinajane Bedrijo Almario jailed for pimping teenagers

JelinaJane Bedrijo Almario, an 18 year old Californian teenager was sentenced 13 years imprisonment just 2 days after her 18th birthday.



According to Hanford police Detective Richard Pontecorvo, Almario befriended  14 and 15 year old girls through friends and acquaintances or social media.

she would post their pictures on different websites for prostitution and then take them to motels to have sex pontecorvo reported.

"These people are great at locating kids with low self-esteem and trying to be their friend, and then it obviously changes once they started working for her," Pontecorvo said.

.It was reported that these girls would run away from home for weekends or work a couple of nights.

Pontecorvo who said that it was an eye opener considering that Almaro is a juvenile and a pimp told of a time when a mother went searching for her daughter and Almario sent her threatening text messages.

The teenager was arrested in May 2016 although as a juvenile, she  was tried as an adult for human trafficking, sending threatening emails to a family member of at least one of the girls and making terrorist threats.
