The National Universities Commission on Monday granted the approval for upgrading Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta to Moshood Abiola University of Science and Technology.
The new development was conveyed in a recognition letter through the Ogun State Government delegation to the Governor, Mr. Ibikunle Amosun, by the commission's Executive Secretary,Prof Abubakar Rasheed.
Rasheed said that MAUTECH was now the 45th state university and the 85th public university in the country, he said this at the NUC Headquarters, Abuja.
