Kylian Mbappe returns to Monaco ahead of start to pre-season training

Kylian Mbappe is on his way back to Monaco for the start of pre-season on Monday morning, despite the uncertainty surrounding his future and growing interest from Real Madrid.

The 18-year-old is valued at over £100million and is the most sought-after forward in Europe after a stunning breakthrough season in Ligue 1 in which he played his part in winning the domestic title.

Real Madrid are still expected to sell Alvaro Morata this summer, despite Manchester United cooling their interest in the striker, meaning the Spanish giants will have space as well as the funds to launch a potential world-record bid for the Frenchman.
