Man Arrested For Raping Four Minor

Ibrahim Yusuf, 40, allegedly raped four children in Kangere village, Birnin Kudu Local Government of Jigawa, and was apprehended by members of the community.


Hajiya Ladi Dansure, the State Commissioner for women Affairs and Social Development confirmed that the development in Dutse on Thursday. She said three of the girls were aged four, five and six and three out of the four minors were from the same father.

When the villagers caught the suspect, reported the case to the police and her ministry, Dansure said.

The commissioner said that Yusuf who operates a cinema in the village used the cinema house to carry the action.

Yusuf lured the girls into the cinema house where he entertained them with different films for free before raping them, Dansure said.

“This is barbaric and animalistic,” she said, adding that the matter had been forwarded to the police and National Human Right Commission for appropriate action.

Yusuf has been arrested and charged to court which was confirmed by the spokesman of the state Police Command, SP Abdul Jinjiri.
