Chelsea's wantaway midfielder Nemanja Matic was put through his paces at the club's Cobham training base after being left out of the pre-season tour of Asia.
Matic has been told his wish to move to Old Trafford and team up again with Jose Mourinho will be granted as a gesture of goodwill in view of his service to the club.
And with his heart seemingly set on reuniting with his former Blues boss, Antonio Conte decided against taking the Serbian midfielder to the Far East.
Instead, the 28-year-old remained in England and was seen training with recovering pair Eden Hazard and Pedro on Wednesday.
Matic and Hazard, who is continuing his rehabilitation from a fractured ankle, took part in various training drills at the west Londoners' state-of-the-art facility.
The Chelsea duo were working on their fitness while their team-mates worked on their preparations in Singapore ahead of the friendly with Inter Milan on Saturday.
A fee has yet to be agreed for Matic — United have lodged a bid which is not expected to be accepted.
Blues owner Roman Abramovich has given the green light to allow Matic his move to Old Trafford with the 28-year-old pushing for a reunion with Mourinho.
Abramovich has given his blessing to the transfer as a reward for Matic helping Chelsea win the Premier League title twice in the last three seasons.
Chelsea are thought to want £50million from United for the Serbia midfielder, having knocked back a bid of around £35m earlier this summer.
Another player pictured at Cobham was Pedro, who suffered 'multiple fractures' around his eye socket and cheekbone in his collision with Arsenal's David Ospina.
Pedro took the full force of a punch from Ospina in the face during a friendly in Beijing last Saturday, which Chelsea won 3-0.
The former Barcelona player was sent home to continue his recovery following the nasty-looking clash.
Although Conte revealed hopes that he would be back in training in 10 days if he wears a protective mask, Pedro took part in a light session on Wednesday.
Training without any protection on his face, the Spaniard worked on his fitness with short sprint stints using a stopwatch.
Nemanja Matic is expected to quit Chelsea for Manchester United this summer
