Usher paid an unnamed woman $1.1 million after infecting her with an STD

As R.kelly’s scandal continues to brew, R&B superstar, Usher Raymond is by not way having a scandal free time, as news of his STD scandal stands at par with senior R&B colleague.
The 38-year old singer paid a woman a sum of $1.1 million in 2012 because he infected her with herpes; a sexually transmitted disease.According to documents revealed by Radar online, the documents which are actually about five years old was filed in Los Angles. The singer was allegedly diagnosed with herpes sometime around 2009 or 2010, according to the documents. 

The unnamed woman alleged that they engaged in unprotected sex while the activity seemed to be consensual, the accuser claims that she was unaware he was carrying the virus.

According to the reports, the woman was diagnosed after that night with the virus along with some symptoms which includes vaginal sores, fever, and chills. At that time, Usher allegedly paid her medical bills which cost nearly $3,000.

The law in California reportedly states that it is illegal to knowingly or recklessly transmit an STD, according to NY Daily News.

The "ruined" victim, who remains unnamed, expressed concern after a "greenish discharge" was discovered from him. She explained in the documents that she asked the star about any diseases, but was apparently told he tested negative:

"Believing Raymond's statements that it had been nothing and cleared up, [she] continued her relationship."

Usher is said to have later admitted he was infected with herpes as the settlement expressed:

"In a series of telephone conversations and online chat sessions, [Usher] has apologized for infecting [her] and told her he would take care of things."

Unfortunately for his partner, she felt "that her health and body have been ruined," and "has suffered severe emotional distress and has been extremely depressed … knowing there is no cure."

The court suggests he was exposed to it around the same time he divorced his, ex, Tameka but Usher has not issued a statement regarding the recent allegations.

Usher reportedly paid $1.1 million when he settled with her in court back in 2012.
