Man, remanded for allegedly raping 6-year old boy

Sunday Aniagolu who is a shop owner has been remanded in prison custody for allegedly defiling a six-year-old boy and had pleaded not guilty to the charge.
Yahaya Mohammed, the Judge had denied the accused's plea for bail and ordered he be remanded in prison until August 14.

In denying the bail application, the Judge said an offence of rape by “unnatural means is not ordinarily bailable.’’

The prosecutor Sgt Ibrahim Gukwat, told the court that the case was reported to the `B’ Division police station on July 17, 2017 by one Maryam NaAllah of A4 Ali Kazuare st., Jos.

Gukwat Further told the court that the Maryam noticed the little boy was uncomfortable and always complaining of stomach and anus pain.

He was taken to the hospital where it was discovered that he had semen deposit in his anus adding that the boy had fingered the shop keeper of luring him to his shop where he sexually violated him.

The prosecutor said the offence contravened Section 284 of the Penal Code.

Aniagolu complained to the court that the boy’s relatives had assaulted and beat him up over the alleged crime.
