5 years of hard work,
5 years of impact, changing lives and writing the foundation tablets of a
generation of stars to be unveiled in the nearest future, educating their minds
and setting a standard worth commendation is the story of Clervaux Montessori
School in the lives of their pupils and parents alike.
The school annual
prize giving and graduation ceremony was the culmination of a session filled
with activities both academic and extra-curricula resulting in achievements and
laurels obtained by pupils of Clervaux Schools.
The red carpet kicked-off the event showcasing the beautiful and glamorously dressed parents and guest
who had come to grace the event.
Graca gist spotted
the Head Teacher of Clervaux School Mrs. Nkechi Egbogwu who gave an insight
regarding the vision of the school and what to expect at the event.
Egbogwu said clervaux
school is a place called the porter's house where children are molded, she described the school as character builders.
She spoke on the
purple and gold theme of the day, which was reflected not only in the venue
décor but in the clothes of the staff and pupils, she said purple depicts
nobility telling the children they are royalty and gold tells them to go for
the highest prize, “Go for Gold!”

compromise standard, we are focused and our teachers are dedicated, seasoned
teachers who see to the vision and mission statement of the school coming to
reality.
“There is no eye
service at Clervaux school, what we can do is what we tell you. If you bring
your child to Clervaux School your child will be an all-rounder, not just
academically sound, but also morally sound.
“We teach them to be
independently minded i.e to do some things themselves, we teach them to speak
out, because this is the information age anyway.
“We have also introduced our science club
where we teach them to know, to explore some things themselves and find out why
things are the way they are- these are the critical mindedness. With these any parent
that brings his/her child to Clervaux School will never regret it.” She added
Many parents had
glowing comments about the school, Mr. Mr Ikoto, parent to graduating pupil, Oreoluwa Chelsea Ikoto, said he had no regrets with his child being in the
school, he appreciated the school for helping his daughter.
Mrs Owolabi gave
Clervaux School a thumbs up, considering when she first brought her son to the
school, she said “he had so many weak points” which she communicated to the
teachers but they were able to brush him up and bring him up to speed within a
period of two months. Owolabi whose son was graduating said she would be missing
Clervaux School.
Mrs. Nneka Nwosu who
danced excitedly to the red carpet said she was very happy her daughter had really improved and would be winning trophies, she implored other parents to
bring their wards to Clervaux.
Mrs Chinyere Omaram
said she would choose Clervaux a hundred times over again, she advised the
school to keep aiming higher.
Mr Peter Olafunsi,
said his experience with the school has been wonderful, he had transferred his
children from another school because they had issues mixing up with other kids,
he communicated it to the school authorities at Clervaux school and now they
have improved. Their confidence level and communication skills he said had also
improved.
The Proprietor, Mr.
Chukwudi Okume told gracagist that it was his joy to know that Clervaux School
is impacting the lives of the children and their parents.

Speaking on the
success story of the school Okume said “the reason we have made it thus far is
because we have always had at the back of our minds that we want our children
to be the best in everything they do in all aspects of life not just in
academics and that is what has been motivating us, pushing us forward and our
parents keep supporting us that’s been our back bone and we are praying to
surpass where we are now.
Considering the
fallen standard of education, Okume said Clervaux School has been able to
maintain standard as “we keep improving because we keep modernizing what we are
doing, following the latest trends of education and also doing research works.
“Putting in more
facilities and getting teachers that are well grounded and equipped to teach
our children in the current educational practices” he said.
Okume said the school
would be moving to a bigger space and having a secondary school within the next
two years was in their projections to better cater to parents’ needs.
