There were fears for the fitness of Brazil midfielder Fred on Thursday after he limped out of a session at Tottenham's training ground.
Fred, who agreed a £52million move from Shakhtar Donetsk to Manchester United earlier this month, picked up an ankle problem in a sliding tackle by Real Madird midfielder Casemiro.
'Today Fred had trauma in his ankle. It is too early to say, we have to see how he develops in the next 24 hours,' Brazil physician Rodrigo Lasmar said when asked for a full diagnosis on Thursday evening. 'He started working out right after. Tomorrow we will know whether he will have to be further examined or not.'
The session, held 10 days before Brazil's World Cup opener against Switzerland in Russia, continued without Fred.
Fred was clearly in pain after the challenge from Casemiro.
The 25-year-old screamed and grimaced before medical staff came to help him.
Fred was taken to a dugout by the side of the training pitch in Enfield where an ice pack was applied to his right ankle.
Brazil are due to leave England later this week and head to Austria where they play their final warm-up game before the World Cup.
They beat Croatia 2-0 at Anfield last weekend, with Neymar scoring the opening goal on his first appearance since breaking his right foot 98 days earlier
