Manchester United's new signing Diogo Dalot will be using his first few weeks at the club to recover from knee surgery.
The 19-year-old, who completed his £17.4million move from Porto last week, was walking with the aid of crutches as he attended the Soccer Aid match at Old Trafford on Sunday night.
The meniscus injury ruled Dalot out of the last three matches of Porto's season and he is unlikely to be fully fit when he makes permanent his move to Manchester later this month.
United expect Dalot to be ready to resume training in time for their pre-season tour, which sees them play five times in five different locations within two weeks.
The first of these is against Club America in the Phoenix Stadium, Arizona on July 19
