Rudy Giuliani: Special Counsel Robert Mueller trying to "frame" Trump

Rudy Giuliani, President Trump’s personal lawyer, claimed on Wednesday that special counsel Robert Mueller is trying to “frame” the president, according to a report.

The former New York City mayor who has been defending the president in Mueller’s Russia probe alleged that the special counsel’s team includes “13 highly partisan Democrats … (who) are trying very very hard to frame him to get him in trouble when he hasn’t done anything wrong,” the Associated Press reported.

But Mueller is a Republican who was named special counsel by Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, who is also a Republican appointed by Trump.

Speaking at a Globes capital market in Tel Aviv, Giuliani also repeated the assertion he made in a number of appearance on Sunday’s news shows that Trump has the power to pardon himself but won’t, because he has done nothing wrong.
