Croatia for the quarters' after ousting Denmark

Croatia making their way into the quarter final of World Cup 2018 after a thrilling penalty shoot out victory over Denmark on Sunday.

Arriving in the last 16 as the slight favorite compared to their opponent, Vatreni were stunned early on as the Danish Dynamite got themselves in front within just seconds through Mathias Jorgensen’s close range effort.

That early lead for Denmark didn’t last long as Zlatko Dalic’s men found the equalizing goal on four minutes, with a nice finish from Mario Mandzukic.

Those early goals triggered an exciting end to end battle during the first 45 minutes, with both sides creating several good goal scoring chances which they couldn’t convert.

That situation forced the two teams battling it out on penalty shoot out and there’s an obvious tension felt by many of the players as several players missed their shots.

There’s two Croatia players who missed, while Denmark had three failing to convert, which eventually gave Vatreni the victory when Ivan Rakitic coolly converted his, which was also his team’s final kick.
