The governor of Ekiti state Ayodele Fayose, reportedly lost consciousness on Wednesday after policemen allegedly fired teargas into the government house in Ado-Ekiti, the state capital.
Lere Olayinka, spokesman of the governor, said his principal was taken to government house clinic after the incident.
A combined team of security operatives from the Department of State Services (DSS) and Nigeria Police Force, laid siege to the government house.
