American official Mark Geiger will referee the World Cup round of 16 match between England and Colombia.
FIFA announced the 43-year-old's appointment on Sunday afternoon. He will be assisted by fellow American Frank Anderson and Canada's Joe Fletcher.
It will be Geiger's third match of the tournament as referee after he also oversaw Portugal's 1-0 win over Morocco and South Korea's 2-0 victory over Germany in the group stage
