Headmistress Mrs. Iwuchukwu retires as Kiddies Kingdom private school celebrates her graduation and prize giving day ceremony in style
It was a moment of mixed feelings for Kiddies Kingdom Private School as Headmistress Mrs. Iwuchukwu retired from active service amidst joy from the annual graduation and prize giving day ceremony.
The grandaunts who were intimidating in their beautiful gown were ushered in to take their seats as the processional Hymn was chorused by the jubilant crowd. It was an awesome way to kick start a ceremony that had kept the waiting parents, teachers, well wishers and loved ones amongst others salivating.
The school showed that it always put God first as the opening prayer was observed my Mrs. Oyewole and also paid respect to its nation by sing the National Anthem which was immediately followed by the School Anthem.
The Head of Teachers' Mr. Oyedele P.A in giving his welcoming address praised the exceptional work rate of the Headmistress and equally emphasizing on the leadership skills she displayed all through her years of active service.
He said " we are all here to greet goodbye to a boss and exceptional leader and mentor who is retiring from active service at this point of her life, we will respect and appreciate all the valuable wishes and knowledge and positive qualities that our boss has put in us, we all express our feelings for her contributions not only to improve the school but towards every staff."
"If it is possible for us to stop you from retirement or with your age and increase the number of your years left to continue with what you know how to do best ,however it your time today our own retirement period is waiting around the corner were someone will tell us good bye. We say goodbye to our friendly boss and mother and may God bless her."
The retiring Headmistress showed her gratitude towards everyone she had worked with praising their abilities and also entrusted the baton of leadership to Mrs Tina Onabanjo emphasizing that the leadership mettle is in safe hands.
In her speech she said "I Am excited at the wonderful sentiment expressed about me by various speakers, the sentiment makes me feel more important than I deserve and i am grateful to all of you. May God reward you individually and collectively. I have always put in my best to mobilize pupil talent and effort to achieve a desired positive result."
"I have made mistakes but I have learnt from them with humility ,usually the mistakes emanate from pressure of time, weak team players, lack of adequate knowledge and communication. My approach today is not to give excuses.........I thank everyone for their cooperation and friendship, without them there would much pressure on me which would have affected the little result we have achieved, you are all wonderful thank you God bless you."
"I am handing over the golden baton of leadership of Kiddies Kingdom private school to my successor and I hope he or she will influence a good standard I have obtained even though the environment is quite competitive........to remember the happy and challenging moment. God bless you all and is mercy protect all of us."
The Successor to the departing Headmistress Mrs Tina Onabanjo gave a welcome speech she said "a very good day to our esteemed parents Kiddies Kingdom Private School has been for several years under the headship of the unrelenting Mrs, Felicia Iwuchukwu and now it is time to move on achieving other goals she has set for herself in life. I am a privilege to step into her shoes and I am looking forward to working with a team of amiable members of staff who are willing to take both the pupils and school to the next level of endeavor."
There were wealth of entertainment at the School's disposal as we were treated to series of dances and presentations ranging from Ballet Dance, Choir Presentation, Choreography, Instrumentals and lots more. This was followed by Awards of Certificates and Gifts to the graduands.
In between this special occasion was the Valedictory Speech which was delivered by the Head Boy Ogundipe Olamilekan which was presided by the Cutting of Cake.
In an exclusive interview with Graca Gist, Mrs Iwuchukwu briefly spoke about the journey of success she has taken the school through
She opined "the journey has been sweet, bitter but I was able to conquer all, at a point it was challenging but when you remember when it was ok you keep going. My advice for my successor is she should dance to the tune and do a team work and to the pupils, all I need from them is to be obedient and attentive to their teachers."

Also, Parents, Guardian, were given opportunity to express themselves on their child's graduation and the Headmistress farewell and what they generally feel about the whole occasion. There were floods of eulogies as parents couldn't contain their excitement and the way the school has impacted their Child.
Mrs Toyin Edo Williams a parents said "KKPS is a great school and Mrs Iwuchukwu she is a mother and a nice woman we are going to miss her greatly.
Dr Mrs Ladipo Yetime Clementine "KKPS is a lovely school with humble teachers, good security and Mrs Iwuchukwu who is a disciplined woman and a mother which is something I like about her, not all schools has that.We will miss her”.
Mrs Akaride Rim said "she is and the unique thing I like about her is that she does not use her age to intimidate us the young parent, she is good to everyone she is a mother and a nice woman”.
Michael Edo Williams said "she is a very good and nice woman and will be greatly missed by all.
