Celine Dion sought dead husband’s portrait for counsel on whether to do the remake of "Beauty and the Beast".

Award winning song writer and singer Celine Dion has sought counsel from her late husband’s portrait whether to do the "Beauty and Beast” remake.

Celine Dion who lost her music producer husband, René Angélil, in 2016 was caught in a dilemma when approached by Disney to do a remake of the soundtrack of Beauty and the Beast which she did a couple of years back.

Dion who was still grieving the loss of Rene told The Sun that she asked her husband’s portrait that was painted by a fan.

"I went and found one of the paintings that one of the fans gave me of my husband and I said, 'Should I do this?'"

If you think this sounds spooky and wondering how she got her answer, then read what she had to say about it:

"And the answer I got back - I don't want that to sound like ghostly or anything like that - but emotionally what I got back from that was, 'You have nothing to lose.'"

Celine Dion who was discovered by Angélil at the age of 12, got married to him at 18, while he was 48.

Angélil had a long battle with throat cancer before he succumbed to the cold hands of death in January last year.

Celine, who during the tribute to Angelil mentioned that her husband wanted to die in her arms but fell from the bed, appeared to still be grieving for Rene.

Celine said the months before her husband passed away was a great learning period for her as she soaked in a lot of knowledge from the man who had made her career a tremendous success.

"We talked a lot and I took notes every day," she said. "I had my Post-its and my crayons and my book, and everything he wanted or questioned, or he thought of, I wrote it down." She said.

Does Celine Dion Plan to Marry soon? Her response: "Now it is definitely too soon for me, will probably grieve for the rest of my life," the songstress said she was hopeful for the future even though she wasn’t ready for a new love.

Is she still in love with her late husband? Her response was touching, she said: "I am definitely in love with [René], married to him; He's the love of my life."

"It's very difficult for me to see myself with another person. The love that I have for him, I live it every day. And as a woman, we do have emotions and feelings that come and go. And it's always with him." She said.

Recalling her last days with Rene Angélil, Celine who had made a public announcement that Angélil had a few months to live said they planned his funeral together. Choosing the songs that would be played and where he would be buried.

With her 3 sons and her entire career ahead of her, would Celine still resort to unconventional ways to make life decisions, well only Celine and time can tell.
