Fuji icon Pasuma receives Chieftancy title

Fuji icon, Wasiu Alabi Ajibola Odetola Pasuma popularly known as "Oganla", has now become the 'Togan' of Badagry Kingdom.

The fuji musician and movie actor was bestowed the title at a ceremony that held in Lagos yesterday.

He was born on the 27 of November 1967. Oganla began his music career in 1984 and in 1993 he dropped his debut album which he titled "Recognition". However it was his 1995 album titled “Orobokibo” that
shot him into the limelight in a big way.

The album also earned him an award at the FMA awards as the best fuji artiste of the year.

He has also tried his luck in the movie industry which turned out to be a huge success. He has been featured in several Nigerian Yoruba movies such as Omonikara, Abike, Omo shomolu, Iyanje 1 and 2, Alenibare and Jaiyeola Ni Mo N Je.

Pasuma which released his debut hip pop album titled “My World” on the 2nd of August 2015 features top Hip Pop and Rhythms and Blues artiste such as YBNL boss Olamide, Supreme Mavin Dynasty queen Tiwa Savage, Oritsefemi, Phyno and also Patoranking.

He has also collaborated with several other notably Nigerian recording artists, which includes Bola Abimbola and King Sunny Ade.

Pasuma wonder has also had his share of women both in and out of the industry; he has a total of ten children Wasilat being the first and Pasuma has mentioned her name in some of his songs. Others includes Barakat, Waris, Opeyemi, Amira, Aaliyah, Sultan and Roqeebah.
