The accused person is facing a two-count charge of felony and theft. However, he pleaded not guilty to the crimes.
The Magistrate, who gave the ruling, Mrs Oriyomi Sofowora, also granted the accused Sulaimon Ajo two dependable sureties in like sum.
The prosecutor in charge of the case, Sunday Eigbejiale, told the court that the accused person committed the offences at Baseru Araromi area of Abeokuta on April 19.
Eigbejiale explained that the accused broke into the poultry farm belonging to one Mr. Ibrahim Mutiu, the complainant, and went away with 38 domestic fowls.
The offence was said to have contravened Sections 383, 411 and 413 of the Criminal Code, Laws of Ogun, 2006.
The case was adjourned until June 13 for trial by the magistrate.
