The Video footage shows a man who was stripped naked after he was caught in the act trying to strangle a woman.
Another man in the crowd quickly narrated in Yoruba language that the man is a killer from Sapele who was caught trying to kill a woman in her shop.
It was gathered that it took the police’s intervention to stop the crowd from lynching the suspect.
The man whose name is not yet known was said to have entered the woman’s shop and strangled her with a rope but for the timely intervention of residents in the neighbourhood who heard the woman screaming and came to the rescue, the killer would have succeeded.
