Manchester City most likely to sign Alexis Sanchez as biggest competitor Bayern Munich backs out

Manchester City’s aim of signing Arsenals Forward, Alexis Sanchez, is likely to take place as their biggest competitor Bayern Munich backs out on signing the Chilean.

Man. City has made the signing of Sanchez their main aim in the transfer market this season and is willing to sell players to make space and money for the deal to go through.

There is every possibility for the Chilean to play for Man City as he is linked with the Man City boss, Pep Guardiola, who was his former coach in Barcelona.

Bayern’s President Uli Hoeness, is seen to have backed out of the deal due to the facts that he believes the team needs young players and Sanchez will turn 29 later this year as he keenly focuses on players in the age range of 20’s.

“Either we go this way, with all these young players, and they have a chance to play, or we don't go that way,” said Hoeness.

“But you cannot build a new team by doing 100 million euros transfers for 29- and 30-year-olds.”

Arsene Wenger might not be too pleased losing one of his finest players to a domestic rival like Man City, but if the Arsenal manager does not sanction a sale this summer he faces losing Sánchez in 12 months on a free.

Sánchez is out of contract then and has refused to sign a new deal. The 28-year-old has been offered around £250,000 a week by the north London club but could earn closer to £300,000 at City.
