Oshiomole gives blind daughter surprise birthday party

The immediate past Governor of Edo State Comrade, Adams Oshiomhole, Wednesday gave his highly intelligent visually impaired foster daughter a surprise birthday party.

 The foster daughter Miss Joyce Imasuen Osaivbie, a student of Queens College Lagos, who turned fifteen, was greeted with Oshiomholes entourage of 40 which comprised of the honourable Speaker of the Edo House of Assembly, the Deputy Speaker, Majority Leader, 18 other honourable members of the House, ex-commissioners and his personal aides.

 Victor Oshioke shared a video of the birthday celebration wrote about the lady.

The birthday girl, whose brother and father are also visually challenged met the former governor and his wife Iara Oshiomole a few years ago and since then, they have remained very close.

It was learnt that from the moment they met, the responsibility for Osaivbie education and personal needs have been catered for by the Oshiomoles and she has been fondly referred to her as their daughter.

On June 7, which was the lady’s birthday, the former governor decided to honour her in a grand style by paying her a surprise visit in their family home with a beautiful cake to celebrate the special day.
