Nigerian singer, Daddy Showkey
Veteran Nigerian galala singer John Asiemo, commonly known as Daddy Showkey, whose genre of music is called ghetto dance and was popular in Ajegunle in the late 1990s, has called on the authorities to help stem the tides of incessant killings in the neighbourhood.
He took to his Instagram page on Wednesday to post a graphic photo of a badly butchered person with a caption on it saying “it is getting too much” and revealed that the person was killed on July 9, 2017.

The 46-year-old singer said that while efforts are being expended to give Ajegunle a good name, some others are killing the youths in the neighbourhood.

He said “We are trying to Give Ajegunle a good name and some stupid idiot are busy killing our youths in Ajegunle. I am begging the Nigerian authority to come to the aid of the people of Ajegunle now, before they will kill every growing youth in Ajegunle.”

He appealed to the government to work on the case before people in Ajegunle will start taking laws into their hands adding that he will continue to promote the community by showing good examples.
