Landlord arrested for allegedly killing tenant

Ogbonnaya Igwe,a landlord, has been arrested by the police for allegedly shooting dead his tenant, Ijeoma Chibuzo.
Igwe, lives at Plot 22, Obohia Road, Aba and the deceased is an indigenes of Item in the Bende Local Government Area of the state.

Geoffrey Ogbonna, the state Police Public Relations Officer who confirmed the arrest said the victim’s body was deposited in an undisclosed mortuary within the city adding that the investigation into the matter was still ongoing. Preliminary investigation showed that the landlord and the tenant had issues bothering on finance.

Angry mob wants to set the landlord’s building on fire but there was intervention of a combined security team from the Counter-Terrorism Unit and others that were deployed in Obohia, another police source said.
