Jose Mourinho reveals players forgot one instruction vs West Ham

Jose Mourinho has revealed he pinpointed the threat of Diafra Sakho during his half-time team talk in Manchester United's win over West Ham - before he went on to miss a free header.

United went into the break 1-0 up thanks to a stunning opener from Romelu Lukaku after the half-hour mark following a dominant first-half display.

The Belgian doubled his tally shortly after half-time before substitute Sakho flicked a free header across the face of goal just minutes after Marko Arnautovic hit the post.

And, although United went on to win 4-0, in one of their finest attacking displays since Sir Alex Ferguson's retirement, Mourinho was not completely satisfied.

"I am [pleased with the performance] but I remember every second of the game," he told MUTV.

"I don’t forget the ball hitting the bar at 2-0 and Diafra Sakho coming onto the pitch.

"In spite of speaking about Sakho at half-time, he was free and almost scored.

"If the score was 2-1, the last 20 minutes, instead of enjoying trying to score more goals, it would have been about not conceding the equaliser, for not losing two points."
