Glamour model faces being fined after sparking fury with photos of her illegally wearing Taiwanese military uniform

A model has sparked outrage among Taiwan's military chiefs after she uploaded pictures of her in a military uniform and posing for provocative modelling shots.

The woman, named Maomi Cat on Facebook, posted the pictures on her fan page in late May. As a glamour model and cosplayer, she had previously posted near nude pictures of her on the page.  

The administrators of the page has since removed the offensive images.

She had reportedly trespassed the military obstacle course in order to take the photos

The photos show the young woman in sunglasses, high heels and the green Taiwanese military uniform - a tight short-sleeved shirt and a mini skirt - and posing with various equipment in a military training course in Taoyuan city.

She was pictured sitting on a military tank, climbing a pole and sprawling across a wooden beam. 

She had reportedly trespassed the military facility to take the photos, according to Liberty Times Net.

The woman has gathered a large following on Facebook by posting near nude photos of herself

The Ministry of National Defense was offended to see a civilian wearing a military uniform and believed that the woman's actions violated the Armed Forces Uniforms Act as well as article 159 of the Public Order Act, according to military spokesperson Chen Chong-chi.

The law stipulates that a citizen seen publicly wearing a military uniform, badge, or any military decoration could be fined NT$500 (£12.45).   

The incident is under investigation, according to the report.
