The Portugal international completed his move to Juventus on Tuesday and arrives in Turin with an incredible five Champions League titles and five Ballon d'Or's to his name.
Juventus have dominated in Serie A, winning seven consecutive titles but it is in the Champions League where they have struggled to put down their marker, having not claimed the trophy since 1996.
And Del Piero believes the arrival of Ronaldo can massively improve Juventus' chance of dominating in Europe.
'Juventus want to win the Champions League, but not only that, to be recognised on the same level as the greatest clubs in the world,' he told Sky Sport Italia.
