New York Fashion Week 2018 has been exciting with Taofeek Abijako a 19 year old Nigerian designer the youngest designer to present a full collection at the fashion week.
According to the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) his fashion line "pays homage to his past by celebrating his West African culture through contemporary perspective.
He attributed his motivation to his days growing with his dad who is a designer. He says his collection will show the "vibrancy of West African youth culture in 70's and Fela Kuti".
Abijako's previous collections are titled 'Cruel Hands' and 'Hooligans'. He began his brand two years ago in his bedroom and is bent on generating impactful statements through his work.
