Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has praised the ability of both Kylian Mbappe and Ousmane Dembele and advised them to think very ‘seriously’ about their immediate futures.
The two French starlets are in-demand this summer off the back of two superb campaigns, with Monaco teenager Mbappe wanted by Arsenal, United, PSG and Real Madrid, while Barcelona have made Dortmund winger Dembele a priority signing.
And while Pogba has been seriously impressed by their precociousness on the field, he has urged them to keep their feet on the ground away from the pitch too.
The young players like Mbappe and Dembele are very talented,’ Pogba told Telefoot. ‘I’ve never seen this, young players imposing themselves like that, being relaxed like that.
‘Mbappe and Dembele have the future before them, they must be serious. They’re kids, young people who have a brain. I wish them the best, also with France.’
Mbappe is believed to favour a move to Real, though is still considering whether he should remain at Monaco for one more season – reports of a 900 per cent wage increase would certainly help to convince him to stay.
Dembele, meanwhile, had an excellent first campaign in the Bundesliga for BVB and is garnering interest from new Barca boss Ernesto Valverde, who wants to refresh the frontline.
Pogba also spoke about another compatriot and France team-mate, Antoine Griezmann, who recommitted to Atletico despite interest from United, reports Metro.co.uk.
But Pogba insists he is not disappointed by Griezmann’s decision to stay in Madrid, and would even accept him in a Manchester City shirt if it meant he was happy!
He continued: ‘Griezmann? I wish for his happiness. If that is at Atletico, at City, I will handle it. He is one of the best players in the world.’
