Super Falconets midfielder, Peace Efih, says that the Nigerian side will give their all to beat Spain in Thursday’s quater-final fixture at the 2018 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in France, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
Chris Danjuma’s charges needed a late own goal by China right-back, Jiaxing Dou, to book their place in the knockout stages after holding the Asians to a 1-1 draw in their last Group D encounter on Monday.
Efih also reflects on the dramatic win against the Chinese and praises her teammates for their fighting spirit.
“The match was very important and we wanted to win the match,” Efih told FIFA.com.
“We wanted to make sure we went through, that’s why we fought to the end. In the second half, we just had to push and keep the spirit of the team moving. It’s all about winning, it’s all about fighting to the end.
“The quarter-finals won’t be easy, but we will fight to the finish.
“We believe in putting out our best every time. With our togetherness, we believe we will get somewhere.”
