Champions League: Madrid vs Bayern, Leicester vs Atletico Madrid… As the actions unfold

Leicester needed something early. It was very, very flat at half-time and they need a goal in the first 10 minutes or so to raise themselves and raise the crowd.
What a run! Antoine Griezmann picks the ball up on halfway, somehow finds a gap where there is none, drives into the penalty area and squares it for Yannick Carrasco.

Carrasco goes down as Marc Albrighton puts an arm on his shoulder - a deep breath and no decision from referee Gianluca Rocchi.

If Bayern Munich are to score twice then they will need all 11 men on the pitch.

Arturo Vidal, already on a booking, clumsily clatters Casemiro, who is not shy in performing some amateur dramatics.

Referee Viktor Kassai isn't swayed by Casemiro's antics, or the baying Bernabeu crowd, and Vidal survives.

Isco fires wide from a corner after the initial free-kick is cleared.

Two penalty shouts for Atletico Madrid, two shushed away by the referee.

Substitute Ben Chilwell then hammers a volley just over the top from 18 yards. Good effort!

Griezmann was unbelievable. There was a sudden turn of pace and he went past two or three defenders. He leaves Fuchs and Simpson for dead and he's unbelievably unselfish in the box.

There's a slight nudge there and it could have been a penalty. The only thing the referee must be thinking is that nudge did not stop him getting the ball. I know it shouldn't make a difference.

Marcelo rides to the rescue again! Arjen Robben clips beautifully towards the Madrid goal with Keylor Navas stranded, only for the Madrid left-back to boot clear.

Better from Bayern...

Lifeline! Arjen Robben takes a tumble under Casemiro's challenge. Penalty...

GOAL - Real Madrid 0-1 Bayern Munich (Agg: 2-2)

Robert Lewandowski puts Bayern Munich in front. Now, it’s Game. On!

Playground football from Jamie Vardy as he picks the ball up on halfway and runs, and runs, and runs - but Atletico Madrid put two men on him and shepherd him out.

Antoine Griezmann then clears from inside his own half.

Cool as a cucumber. Robert Lewandowski, after a long wait, drills into the left corner of the Madrid goal with Keylor Navas rooted.

Bayern are level in the tie, but Real Madrid are still going through on away goals.

But the Germans need just one more goal - without conceding - to go through...

Lewandowski is the first player to score six Champions League goals against Real Madrid. Fancy him to make it seven?

SUBSTITUTION

Leicester 0-1 Atletico Madrid (Agg: 0-2)

Juanfran is off for Atletico, did he pick up an injury legging it back to chase Jamie Vardy? Lucas Hernandez is on in his place.

That means that Stefan Savic has to come over to right-back.

Plenty of huff and puff from Leicester since the break but no shot on target for Jan Oblak to worry about.

Goalscorer Saul needs some treatment, what's gone on here? Riyad Mahrez leaves a boot in and treads on his knee, that's what. A sneaky one.

The Algerian apologises as Saul leaves the pitch.

That's naughty. Mahrez sort of pulls out of the challenge and stamps down on the inside of Saul's knee. That's a little bit naughty.

GOAL - Leicester 1-1 Atletico Madrid (Agg: 1-2) Jamie Vardy scored for Leicester.

Ronaldo hits number 99 Real Madrid 1-1 Bayern Munich (Agg: 3-2)

Just the 99 Champions League goals for Cristiano Ronaldo! Is this the one which seals another semi-final? Casemiro floats a perfect pass into the middle and Ronaldo heads home...

How has that even gone in?! Bayern get an instant response to move back level on aggregate, and we would go to extra time if it stays like this. David Alaba is up there, Thomas Muller is up there but the ball ricochets off Sergio Ramos and trickles over the line.

Wes Morgan is in a world of pain now, he stretched to make a tackle and something has pinged. He can't carry on.

Kasper Schmeichel goes up for a corner, and why not, but it comes to nothing.

It's been a wonderful defensive display from Atletico Madrid, but Diego Simeone is going nuts at someone!

FULL-TIME Leicester 1-1 Atletico Madrid (Agg: 1-2)

Leicester are out, to a standing ovation. Diego Simeone shakes the hands of all of the Leicester players, and is now applauding the home fans. The Foxes gave it a good go, especially in that second half. They gave it their all, but Atletico always had enough in the tank. A class outfit who could well reach the final again

Bayern, down to 10, are basically playing 4-4-1 with Thomas Muller up front on his own.

The decision to send off Arturo Vidal for a clean sliding tackle could end up ruining Bayern's chances. But they have started extra time well.

GOAL - Real Madrid 2-2 Bayern Munich (Agg: 4-3) Cristiano Ronaldo scored again. He does it again!

Another GOAL - Real Madrid 3-2 Bayern Munich (Agg: 5-3) it is Cristiano Ronaldo hat-trick. He now had 100 Champions League goals! A perfect hat-trick...

GOAL - Real Madrid 4-2 Bayern Munich (Agg: 6-3) Marco Asensio made it happen with a solo run.

A 6-3 aggregate win does not tell the whole story but it's another feather in the managerial cap of Zinedine Zidane, who is not doing bad for a stand-in.
