Nigerian Singer and singer-songwriter , Oritsefemi Majemite Ekele, popularly known by his first name Oritsefemi is now a married man.
Oritsefemi got married to his lovely bride, Nabila Fash, which is a Public Relations expert, at his home in Lekki .
The wedding took place on April 20th (yesterday) as a private event. The court registrars came Oritsefemi’s house to conduct the wedding ceremony.
However, Oritsefemi shared a photo of his wife on his Instagram page this evening.
The 32 years old music star reintroduced himself into the industry following a period of silence with the remake of Fela Kuti's "Double Wahala". The song was well accepted and became an anthem.
Oritsefemi was nominated for the 2014 City People Entertainment Awards for the song and he claimed the award for Most Popular Song of the Year.
Also, he won the Indigenous Artist of the Year award at the 2014 edition of NEA (Nigeria Entertainment Awards).
Oritsefemi nursed his musical talent as a student and performed at parties and social gatherings. His first recorded song was titled "Boys dey Binu". He attended a music school in Ajegunle which he said added a reggae fusion into his early style of music.
He released two albums with his group-mate, Chibudo. The first album was titled “Boys Dey Binu” which was also a hit track in the collection. His second album was titled “Money Na Time” consisting of eight songs.
Oritsefemi later switched to a solo career in 2006, following a vague disagreement between him and his partner. Both he and Chi-Junglist attempted to launch their individual solo careers but it was only Oritsefemi that hit the ground running.
He released "Elewon" and "Flog Politician koboko" and the songs became instant hit. It was well received by fans.
After the disintegration of Junglist Boys, his formal group, his partner Chibudo known by his stage name "Chi-Junglist" also released a diss record after Oritsefemi’s hit song "Flog Politician" became an anthem on the street of Lagos.
However, Chi-Junglist said it was Oritsefemi that deserved to be flogged koboko and not politicians calling him a cheat.
Oritsefemi didn’t respond but went ahead to release another single "Mama Lati" and that also was a hit. He featured another Ajegunle singer "Sunrise" in the song. There is believed that Chi-Junglist and Oritsefemi are still at loggerheads. All efforts by friends and associates settle their beef has hit the dead end.
He later released another hit track from the album "Mercy of the Lord" which he claimed was motivated by his personal experiences with worldly things and how the prayers said by his mom on his behalf was able to salvage him by awakening the Spirit of God in him.
So far,he has released four albums after his departure from Junglist. The albums include; "Wicked World", "Musical Taliban" and more recently "Money Stops Nonsense" which shared the same name as his record label.
Oritsefemi has featured artiste like D’banj, Da Grin, Reminisce and Pasuma Wonder and so on.
He always tries to write songs that reflects the current situation of people. He claimed "Double Wahala" was inspired by the sufferings of the common man in. He added his experience while living close to a flooded area in Ajegunle with water rushing into his home was an experience he always remembered with the song.
Oritsefemi is the third child of his mother, and was born and raised in a polygamous . He hails from the Itsekiri tribe of North Warri, Delta State
