Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode
Lagos State Governor
The Governor of Lagos State, Akinwunmi Ambode, has asked public servants to improve on their efficiency to boost service delivery in the state.

Ambode urged the workers to be diligent in their duties in order to build a creative and globally competitive public service.

The governor spoke at an exhibition by public servants in the state as part of activities marking the Lagos at 50 celebrations.

He was represented at the event by Deputy Governor, Dr Idiat Adebule.

He said, “It is proper to set aside this event for the entire public service to be part of the golden jubilee celebration. As we savour the joy of this occasion, we must not lose sight of the whole essence of this celebration, which is to acknowledge our past achievements and also chart a new course for a greater and more prosperous state.

“The public service must accept the reality that the only yardstick to measure its relevance is how well it satisfies the expectations of the citizenry in the way and manner that public service is delivered.”

Earlier, the state Head of Service, Mrs. Olabowale Ademola, had urged public servants to develop themselves in order to remain relevant.
