Katy Perry incurs wrath for comparing her black hair to Obama

Katy Perry may just have incurred the wrath of a large percentage of Americans who take the former president of the United States too seriously.

 The singer came under fire when she compared dying her hair from black to blond to Donald Trump replacing Obama.


This happened during an instagram live session on Saturday April 29, when the singer fielding a series of fan questions read a comment about a fan missing her old black hair, she replied was

"Oh, someone says, 'I miss your old black hair,'

"Oh, really? Do you miss Barack Obama as well? Oh, OK. Times change. Bye! See you guys later."

Perry started laughing at the intended sarcasm turned to her to look at her friends for approval  and said "I should leave now," she said, still giggling.
An off-camera pal could be heard replying, "OK, you're cut off," as Perry ended the livestream.

The Hillary Clinton advocate Perry was not going to be let off the hook so easily as critics took to twitter to slay the singer.
 one tweeter user said  "Wow Katy Perry. The reference to former Pres. Obama was offensive & a poor, tasteless attempt at humor. Your privilege is showing,"

Another's comment was below the belt, it read "Sometimes when I think that the world is an awful place, I remember that Barack Obama has more Grammys than Katy Perry, and I feel better." (Obama has two Grammys for his audiobooks Dreams From My Father and The Audacity of Hope; Perry has been nominated for 13 Grammys, but hasn't won.)

Perry is yet to  publicly address the Obama joke.
