Cristiano Ronaldo face charges over tax fraud as Spanish prosecutors are considering allegations being levied on the Madrid Striker allegations by the country's tax agency that he defrauded the authorities of €15 million (£13m) between 2011 and 2014.
Prosecutors on Thursday said they have till the end of June to decide whether to charge the Ronaldo, based on evidence from a probe by tax officials.
The alleged irregularities were mostly related to money that Ronaldo had in the Virgin Islands.
The four times Ballon d'or winner was said to have adjusted his tax declarations and paid an extra €6 million (£5.2m) in 2014 Tax officials said.
Ronaldo could face at least 15 months prison sentence, if charged and subsequently found guilty Prosecutors said. However, it would be unlikely he would go to jail as a first-time offender.
