See the incredibly similarities between Antonio Conte's first season at Chelsea and Juventus

Antonio Conte, who arrived at Stamford Bridge after Chelsea had completed what was at the time the worst title defence in Premier League history, finishing 10th and thus falling out of European football altogether, will be very happy after his first season at Chelsea, and can be forgiven for having an unshakeable sense of deja vu after their season came to a close on Saturday.

Conte’s first season at Chelsea paints an almost identical picture to the one he experienced in his first season at Juventus .

These are the similarities:

League recovery

Chelsea: Chelsea had experienced a nightmare season prior to Conte's arrival under Jose Mourinho. After a shaky start, Chelsea stormed to the top of the table with a 13-game winning streak and were never caught, finishing with 93 points and 31 wins.

Juventus: Conte took charge of Juventus in 2011 after the departure of Luigi Delneri, who had guided the Old Lady to a seventh-place finish in Serie A the previous season. Conte immediately turned the team's fortunes around, leading them to an unbeaten campaign and the first of three titles under his stewardship.

Conte loses the cup

Chelsea: After claiming the Premier League title, Chelsea could have sealed a domestic double in the FA Cup final against Arsenal, who had just finished fifth in the league, but lost 2-1 and finished the game with 10 men.

Juventus: After winning the Serie A title, Juventus had the chance to seal a domestic double in the Coppa Italia final against Napoli, who had just finished fifth in the league, but lost the match 2-0 and ending the match with 10 men.

Captain's bow out

Chelsea: John Terry bowed out in Stamford Bridge after one season under Conte, lifting his fifth Premier League title in the process. His next destination is, as yet, unknown, but he has been linked with a move to China and Bournemouth.

Juventus: An inspirational leader for the club, Alessandro Del Piero bowed out in Turin after one season under Conte. He moved onto Australian outfit Sydney FC before going to Dehli Dynamos.
