Woman 25, dies after botched plastic surgery

Janelle Edwards, a 25 year old mother, was found unconscious in her car on Bellamy Loop near co-op city Blvd at 8:10 p.m, Thursday, a source said.

Her parent found her slumped behind the wheel and called the police.

Janelle died of a blood clot caused by breast enhancement tummy tuck and butt implants performed in Santo Domingo a relative police said.

Paul Gordon, Edward's neighbor in Allerton, a school-bus driver said he saw Edward holding her stomach.

Edward told Gordon that she was in pain and was going to the hospital, he told her that he was going to pray for her, he did.

Gordon said that the botched surgery should be a warning to people who are seeking for enhancement in the Dominican Republic.

"Sometimes people say cheaper is better, but it's not always" Gordon said.

The neighbor said Edward returned from a trip to the Dominican Republic for plastic surgery last month.

"She was wrapped in bandages and had an IV on a stand. She was in a lot of pain" Elia Mayor told the News.

The American Society of Plastic Surgeons warns that immediate travelling on air after surgery increases the risk of pulmonary embolism and blood clots.
