Nigerian superstar singer, David Adeleke, well known as Davido, who recently was celebrated for his large following on Instagram is now in a messy death scandal involving one of his friend Tagbo Umeike.



Sister of the decease, nollywood actress Caroline Danjuma, had alleged that Davido and his friends dumped Tagbo’s body at the Hospital after he died in his car Tuesday night.

Tagbo who was celebrating his birthday on the day of his death reportedly died in company of Davido and his crew.

Danjuma questioned Davido about the sequence of events that led to the death of Tagbo . She further berated the pop star for returning to a gig and promoting his show despite the sad incident.

She assured the him that the event will be a tough one to sweep under the rug as she was ready to match him pound for pound. She was however more interested in uncovering what led to the demise of Tagbo. She insisted that Davido and his friends abandoned him, wore caps to cover their faces and took to their hills.

"Davido where is Tagbo…. he was with you and ur crew last night … you all wore face cap to hide your identities after he died in ur car.. u dumped him at general hospital and ran away … the law must play its role this time.. you all better provide Tagbo alive.. @davidoofficial.

"After you all abandoned him at general hospital you continued you stupid grooving at DNA and had the nerves to promote ur show.. this ain’t no ordinary boy you can intimidate his family… we need you to tell us how he died in ur car and why u ran away.. the police and the hospital confirmed u all ran away.. if u think ur money can save u , u just met ur match. Promise,"  the actress ended a long rant.

Davido responded to the allegations

Davido in a series of messages via his Snapchat said he was disappointed over false information circulating on the social media that he and his crew abandoned the body of Tagbo, at a hospital in Lagos and absconded.

He further said that people were mean for accusing him, adding that this was the result he got from treating people like brothers.

According to him, he is being framed for always treating everyone like a brother.

However, the 24-year-old offered his condolences and said that out of respect for Tagbo, he won’t discuss the matter further.

He wrote: ”RIP Tagbo, God knows the truth!

 “People are just wicked. This what I get for treating everyone like my brother.

“I was deeply saddened to hear of the sudden death of my friend, Tagbo. First and foremost, my sincere condolences and prayers are with his family and friends at this time.

“I’ve been in this position before multiple times and also of recent.

“But it is also disappointing that false information and complete lies have been put out there, using my name as usual. Out of total respect for Tagbo and his family, I will not discuss this matter further for now.

 “Rest in peace Tagbo….David adeleke.
