Man Utd player Marouane Fellaini says he has treated like 'a murderer'

Marouane Fellaini says he has been treated like 'a murderer' during his time in the Premier League.

The Manchester United midfielder has earned the reputation of being a physically imposing hard man - and feels it has lead to him being unfairly treated by referees and pundits alike.

Fellaini , currently out injured, has been dismissed three times in English football but says it is unfair he is cast as a 'villain'.

He served a three-match ban for elbowing Robert Huth last year after the Leicester centre-back yanked him by his trademark hair.

And he was red-carded for a headbutting Sergio Aguero in the Manchester derby near the end of last season.

But he told Belgian magazine Humo , in an extensive interview: "They have labelled me an aggressive player, a murderer.

"Look, I'm fanatical. The team that wants it the hardest wins but there have been times when I came out as the villain.

"What should I do if they pull me by the hair? It sounds like a joke, but it really hurts.

"Last season I was suspended after the derby against City for a headbutt against Aguero. He stepped towards me and then dropped dead. But, no, I get the red.
